    Default Canadian Geese

    Hi Folks.

Haven't been around much lately so thought I'd share a few recent shots.
I narrowed down to 5, what started as about 30 shots. These are my fav 5.
So since I am indecisive I figured I'd let you guys help me decide which are the best. I hope you like them.
I’m not much on big PP changes, preferring to keep my images as natural and as close to sooc as possible.
Please feel free to share your thoughts.

To my eye shot 3 is the best overall image.

    I like the first image.
This is just my modest opinion, but in the others pictures there is something in the foreground that divert the attention away from the geese.
    ...sorry for my poor english...

Shot 1 works best for me. I find the geese being too close to the bottom frame and that blurred piece of grass too distracting for me in the last 3. The first one has a nice balance.

    Number 1 for me.

If is wasnt for the foreground grass/stick on the right, I think I would have preferred the last one. Maybe a crop of 10-15% off the top and right????

    Cool shots all the same.
I welcome all critique and comments on any of my photos

Thanks Guys. I appreciate the input.

My goal with all of these was to feature depth. I agree with #1 and #2 being the best of the 5. I'm glad you all mirror my thoughts on those. I was actually thinking #2 showed the best depth.

With #3 through 5 I was trying to frame the geese with the foreground sticks but missed it by - that much . Thinking I got the sticks a little too out of focus for that to have worked, or would it be better foregoing the framing attempt completely??

With #3, I got a kick out of having the Male up front and the Female sitting on the nest hidden within the OOF background. Sort of had a little bit of a story to it.
I admit, #5 I just liked because my imagination said "hey, it looks like he is laughing at me" LOL. That was my sole reason for posting that one I knew it wasn't a winner but thought it was cute.

As always, I appreciate you looking. It's always nice to have people more experienced than me look at my shots and share their thoughts.

However, I think I'll wait until it gets a bit warmer before I spend 2 hours laying on my belly on the wet ground in a swamp again
