Thanks,,,The D90 and I struggle to nail shots like this that my Olympus E-510 would have nailed effortlessly

At this point I think a lot of it has to do with Glass. The Zuiko 70-300mm seemed to capture far better definition than the Nikon version from my experience. The frustration for me comes from somehow shifting the focus point of the camera without knowing I've done it, so instead of the focus point being dead center, I find often it's up in a corner. By navigating the various buttons on the camera I inadvertently keep setting the focus point to some outside edge of the frame. In fact with the Nikon system I have inadvertently changed many settings without realizing I've done itI got comfortable with the Oly way of doing things really fast and had no issue with it, Nikon, not so! Look at the detail in this E-510 pigeon shot and this was day one with the cam and glass, I have been unable to duplicate this clarity with the d90.

Ouch! That's one of the things I've always admired about your shots was the clarity and sharpness. That's quite a difference!

I'll get over it I'm sureWhat's funny is I remember posting images with the notion that it had to be as good as any Nikon shot, now I'm trying always to get an Oly shot with the Nikon.
I'll either master it or switch back for wildlife work. The problem may also reside in me
