More from Sloss Furnace

This is a discussion on More from Sloss Furnace within the Architecture & Man Made (cities, buildings, roads, objects & abstracts) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I got these back in June or July on my way to a job in LA (lower Alabama)....

I really like the first one for the lines and the way everything is laid out and the hoist hanging from the ceiling. The last one has great composition also and I especially the light coming in the door. Thanks for posting these.

    Great shots Barefoot.

You know it is a strong collection when everyone has different favourites. For me it is 3 & 4. I love the bent pipe and overall balance in that shot, and as Lorey said, the light in #4 is very nice

Ditto, for the same reasons, but all great shots.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

I almost always sorta live with a photograph for a week or so before I show'em to anyone. Gives me the chance to see if I think there's really anything to it or if maybe I was just enamored with it in the beginning and then realized it really isn't that good. I've had these since July, and still can't decide.

They are lovely. Great colour, texture and composition on both but I am tending to favouring the first a tad more.
