Snowy old barn

This is a discussion on Snowy old barn within the Architecture & Man Made (cities, buildings, roads, objects & abstracts) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I ran across this barn last April and thought it looked cool....

Cool first image - I quite like the comp and subject matter and mood. I dig the subtle flakes in the bkgd.
It looks selectively coloured though - not sure it was necessary here.
I think if it were mine, I think I'd go full BW, or monotone, likely sepia.
    Hope that may help

Thank you for your comments. The original jpeg has more color. Not sure why it is lost on the upload. I didn't much to it other than cropping.

I'm a big fan of this kind of photography. It's so graphic and somehow "home-y". You've really captured the feeling of coldness and wetness (I think I'm making up words as I go here, but you get the idea ). Very nice work.

On the change in colour from your machine to the uploaded version, are you working off a calibrated display? That can make a BIG difference between what you see and what comes across the internet. Just a thought on that. Regardless, nice work.

I too like this image. As Marko suggested, perhaps you could try it as a full B&W.

Thanks for the comments. Glenn, my monitors are calibrated with the internal controls available and are 4k and very sharp. I use a 2013 Mac Pro. Is there a better way to process the image for uploading?
I will try going full B&W, sounds fun.
