Hi All,
I am about to photograph some vintage movie posters from the 50's. Many have been folded and have creases.

Can someone provide some tips on necessary equipment? Specifically on the table setup? could I get away with simply getting some non-reflective plexi or real glass and place on top of posters or do I need to construct a vacuum table?? Also what kind of lights should we be renting? (this is a personal job so we are on a budget).

Also, if we had our choices in lens, what would would be your suggestion?

Thanks very much in advance! rg

I have some experience photographing artwork....Using sticky tack to tack the poster to the wall would be my choice here.

2 lights (portable flash should be fine)at 45 degrees to the poster from about 10 feet away would be my lighting for this task.

I'd use a normalish lens for this task. :twocents:

Hope that helps - Marko
