Russell Falls are one of the most well known and photographed falls in the country. And when you are there, standing at the bottom looking up at a series of falls creating the full cascade, it's easy to see why.

Not a lot of water flowing over at present ... the locals are whinging big time about the lack of rain. I'd love to see these falls with more water as well but at least the smaller amount of flow allows for a more delicate looking photo.

In this one you can see all 4 of the cascades that make up the falls ...

Was quite windy down there ...

At the top of the falls on the way to Horseshoe Falls which is only a few hundred metres upstream ...

I have to agree the light flow gives a more delicate look. That first one is a winner. My eye follows from the lower fall up the steps to the top and back down again. And the vibrant colors just add to the experience.

It was definitely the most awesome waterfall I've seen. That last drop would be something like 10 metres (30+ feet) I think ... in all it must be some 50 metres (130 feet) to the very top.

Lovely images, MA. The first one is my favourite as I like the multiple falls. Very cool. But I also love the look of the water in the last one. Great stuff! :)
