This is a shot of me chasing the 'elusive shot' - sometimes you have to go horizontal to get a vertical shot. My friend dave took this one. Gosh I've been a good model for him to shoot while I try to get the 'good' shot.

Mmm. good point.:) I should have thought of that. Probably covered in clay too.

that's funny guys :)- but yup trying my hand at some shots that don't include mammals! For some reason I seem to be attracted to shots that seem more dramatic rather than simply beautiful.

It's hard and fun and I'll definitely post some pics when I return.

Saw some humungous Douglas Firs last evening as the light was fading and I had a wide angle lens so I shot up their long trunks.
It's always hard to get 'great' shots..but when the nature is so lush and beautiful it's easy to get 'good' shots. :fingerscr

I have tons of allergies but not to heights.

BTW - this shot is pretty deceptive even though the drop was about 30-40 feet. Although I surely would have died had i slipped, there was no real climbing involved to get to the top of that rock. All I had to do was CAREFULLY get into position and not sneeze.

Oh yeah, disclaimer -DO NOT TRY THIS.

If you do fall throw the camera to safety as you go over. It's all about the shot remember! http://www.mtbdirt.com.au/home/smf/Smileys/classic/doctor.gif
