A few from the Birds of Prey exhibit at the Wye Marsh in Midland. Thank you for looking.

these are beautiful! i especially like the 3rd one, the dark eyes stand out so well against the light feathers. great dof on all. they are all great in their own ways - the 1st guy looks cranky, and the over-the-shoulder glance goes well with it. and the middle guy looks like he's giving a lecture to college students... haha :D

Well done (Just a point of interest, always try and make sure that the eyes of people and animals are in sharp focus; it #1, the point of focus is the beak and DoF is insufficient to include the eyes as well).

Kiley, thank you :) I think the center owl was complaining because her brother was flying whilst she was sitting it out.

tirediron, thank you too. I do agree that focus needs to be on the eyes. I just liked the way the beak was tucked into the feathers on this one.

This is the show forum so I'm not offering a real critique here.

Just wanted to say that these are quite striking and i like the way the birds stand out from their backgrounds.
