In my Visual Communications class we were given an in class assignment to go out on campus and in 45 minutes, take as many pictures as possible and shooting what we see as photographers (on one of the most unasthetically pleasing colleges around I might add lol). We then went back to class, uploaded photos and discussed them in class. I thought I would upload some here and do the same thing. There is no need to comment on photoshopping since it was a task that did not allow, nor did we have the time, to do any photoshopping, so these pictures are completely untouched. What do you all think about the composition, what do you like and dislike etc.

Only shot 1 is working for me here FF and I really like its composition. That said, it's not sharp enough. Either the spokes or the gears should be TACK sharp at an F stop like this. Personally I think i would have focused on the rusty part of that circular part of the gear system.
For me, the debris between the spokes is a distraction and I would have removed it manually before taking the shot.

Hope that helps

yeah I noticed afterwards that shot one wasnt really as sharp as I would have liked it to be. Also yeah I noticed the debri (afterwards) and it kind of irritates me too lol. We were suppose to shot subjects as is however, so even if I had seen it, I probably wouldnt have removed the debri.
Thanks for your CC.
