At the end of the summer, the Reader Rock Garden is past its prime. But there are still lots of wonderfully colorful flowers in bloom. The Garden is cared for by the City of Calgary Parks Department. It's a friendly inviting place.

Doesn't look past its prime to me. It looks like a nice walking path that's changing seasons. Nice set.

But the main attraction for me was the flowers, some very unusual ones, all nicely cared for and displayed.

Nicely cared for indeed. Nothing's been munching on them. Very pretty.

And some familiar ones, including insects.

Looking at this great set of photos, it's like walking there myself. Well done and I definitely enjoy the pictures. The last one is THE eyecatcher!

Too funny I was just about to post that my fave was Post 3 shot 1, but then I scrolled down to the bee shots.
Lovely set here...even the exposures in the harsh light in post 1 are well handled.

Lovely set, Mike! The gardens there are beautiful! I don't think they had the little stream turned on this year, though. It is a nice place to visit spring through fall, with the changing foliage and flowers.

JAS: Thanks for the comment. There is a stream, and it is turned on. Mike

Wonderful set(s), Mike. Love the plant/flower life. It is indeed a wonderful garden, that's for sure. And your images do pay it justice.

Very nice photography in this set Mike. Great work and some really nice compositions and framing in there.
