This is the name of the waterfall in the photo.

Taken in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales.

Comments welcome.:)

I like the silky water and the angle here. But on how on earth do you pronounce it?

Very beautiful capture. I am with Bambi though, how the heck do you pronounce it? I assume, since it is in Wales that this is Welsh? Am I close?

Beautiful capture, but one small niggle as Marko would say- I might have composed the shot with a little less rock and flora camera bottom right and brought more of the ribbon falls and spillway into play.

I've had minimal exposure to Welsh words - they don't use the letters the way the rest of us do. For instance, the w in the name is actually a vowel. Try this as a starter guide:
Getting Started with Welsh: Pronunciation (http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/welsh_language/61915/1)

Good luck, I usually have to write out the pronunciations before I can "hear" them.

Lovely view, BTW.

Thanks for the comments.

It is indeed Welsh. You are probably struggling to pronounce it because I made a typo in the spelling.

It should have been "Sgwd" not "Swgd" as I put. I think you will find it easier to say now!

Ha! Did you say that with a straight face? I'm still hopelessly lost on the pronunciation but that's OK. I'll live ;)
