Can anyone recomend a reliable site that hosts photography work?

PBase, it's free for a month, but it's 23$ annually afterwards.

you can post work here in this BB for free and it will stay here always.


You can send work to be featured in the galleries
http://www.photography.ca/otherartists/otherartists.html

and if it is accepted it will stay there always as well - and for free.
