So, I'm exploring ways to finance a purchase of the Phase One 645DF (http://www.phaseone.com/).

Excellent shot... but good luck with that!
If you have any extra cash left over maybe you could fund me one of these:

Wow! That's a bargain considering the Phase One goes for a little over $20k.

The video of the photographer was awesome! I looked up the camera and Vistek here in Canada has them but won't put the price on the web. Ha! Ha! I wonder if they throw in a new computer with that 60+ megapixel camera?

Cool photo Barefoot! kind of got distracted by that other stuff. :)

If you like the 645 format, you can buy Mamiya 645 film cameras very cheap now. They were selling at $7k in their day and are now on e-bay for about the price of a starter DSLR.

With cameras out there like the phase1, I am pretty certain that digital has reached, and surpassed the level of film, perhaps with the exception of view cameras.

Yep, I have an old Mamiya RB67 Pros S. I put it in the shop about a month ago to have the light seals replaced. Can't wait to get it back.
