I just found the podcast and the site today. I was working on some photos and as usual my laptop was running out of free space. Well... I ended up deleting what I thought was just a copy of my music folder. Yup, I deleted my entire collection of music and podcast files. So upon looking for new stuff, I found you. Cool! I didn't know there was a photography podcast or a site like this here in the great white north.

I've been in love with photography for many years now. My first camera was a Minolta x700 back in 1982. I've been playing with photography ever since.

Here's a link to my Flickr site if you want to see the stuff I like to shoot.

I should also mention that my brother and I seem to be doing a lot of time lapse shooting these days. We use our DSLRs to shoot these. Here's our YouTube site http://www.youtube.com/user/TimeLapseHD

I travel a lot for work. It's great for finding new things to shoot but not so great for keeping in contact. I'll try to be as active as I can.

Thanks for reading all of this.

Dan

Welcome to the forum, Dan. It'll be interesting to get more views of Vancouver. There's a couple of others from your neighbourhood here. Off to check out some of your images...

Thank you! It's always great to see some of the same subjects photographed by different people.

Awesome time lapse photography.

One question I have;
With time lapse photography you have to take a lot of pictures. Apparently there is a limit to number of pictures you can take on a shutter mechanism. My understanding maybe 75,000 on an entry level camera and 150,00 on a pro camera. Have you found this to be a problem.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes there is a limit. I had two cameras fail around 150,000 images. They were a D300 and a D700. The good thing was they were both still under warranty. My brother has a D300 with over 300,000 images and still works fine.
