While in Coffs Harbour last weekend we went for a little drive up Bruxner Park Rd to a lookout. The lookout itself wasn't overly exciting but the road up there was cool. We drove through banana plantations and I stopped on a corner to show these ...

Nice set! The first one looks like home, if it's not for that car.

A6 wagon? hard to tell at that distance. Nice. We've got an S4 kicking around. Looks like a great road for them.

ah. ok. sorry. everyone's doing the audi grill these days. Lancers are sweet rides...we almost got one instead of a WRX a few years ago.

All of your photo's from your travels portray an entirely different place than what I had pictured your corner of the world to be. Probably due to the travel shots that favour beach or desert. Might have to drop in one day. Thanks for the insight.

You'd have to drive a very long way to find desert ... but you could if you wanted Andrew :)
Australia has a wonderful range of climates and environments to see from some of the oldest Gondwanna rain-forest to tropical beaches, rugged coastlines, alpine regions, desert, reef and more. Trouble is, it's a big country and you have to travel a lot to see any of it.

We are reasonably lucky here in the Brisbane region. Very nice beaches and coastline are within driving reach of a few hours , as is the rainforest. Extend that to overnight travel and there's plenty to see.
