One of the saddest places I've been lately. Judging by the condition, it's been abandoned for more than a decade. It's in a more rural part of town and almost surrounded by farms. I imagine it was once someone's pride and joy. Certainly a crabby person would never have chosen that aqua blue paint. Or labeled their garden so carefully. Someone obviously mows the lawn, and there are new padlocks keeping you out, but it stands empty.

I'll just post one shot here and give you a link to the Gallery Here (http://wickeddark.smugmug.com/Abandoned/House-of-Sorrow/14726519_uNtkB) so you can see the rest. I'm proud of the story the photographs tell and only wish someone could have let me inside.

Wow it's a huge house too. That swallow shot is poignant.

Wonderful set Wicked D! some great details and like M.A. said it was a huge house and the swallow shot is very sad but points to and adds to the overall tragedy of the house.

Thanks guys. I was on as a photographer that day. You know how sometimes even when presented with a great subject you can still be off?

Yeah I was surprised by the addition on the back.

Love the whole set WD. You sure show a good eye on how to bring out the most of your subject. Very nicely shown.
