I just got back from a two week trip to Jasper, Banff and Kootenay National Parks. I was looking for wildlife to photograph. I started in Jasper then made my way south to Banff and Kootenay National Park. In Jasper there were a number of Elk still hanging around from their mating season.

There were also a number of Bighorn Sheep in the area.

Heading down to Banff I came across this Coyote.

My favorite part of the trip was in Kootenay National Park when I came across a number of wolves. This black one was very cool.

Sorry for the long post. It just seemed easier to do it this way. I did make a video travel log of my trip. They aren't the most exciting videos (and they are long) but it does show the blind and setup I was using to get the wolf pictures. Here's the link YouTube - lensslave's Channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/lensslave)

Great set. The second coyote one, and the close-up of the bighorn sheep are the ones I like best. And, yes, they are amazingly sharp! I also like your travel log videos, they're sorta fun to listen to :) and also to see how it's done.

All great shots. You were lucky to see so much in one trip. Especially the wolf.

Thanks gang! It was a fun trip. I hope to go back for more photos soon. And thanks Gem, the videos aren't meant to be great quality or particularly interesting. I just like to document my little trip for future reference. Plus they are kind of fun to make and gives me something to do and someone to talk to when I'm alone in the scary woods;-)

All amazing images, but the intense stare of the first yote, and the ram profile shot, are definitely my favourites.
