It was bugging me why nothing happened in November, the buzz on the net was simply incredible. I thought it would be something big and immediate having a BIG powerful blast...It never came. So I dug through my bookmarks and notes to get a handle on how I perceived it wrong. I started to notice the common theme in the November buzz the essence of which was a "Tipping point that would change our way of life" I thought it would be a more immediate BANG by something that would mess us up at the time. Silly me...The Wikileaks large cable release I now think could have been this tipping point. It's just a piece of glass in a pile of dry grass in an August sun right now but it has the potential to turn into a firestorm. The first cyber war has begun. I'll be surprised if anyone can get this genie back in the bottle.

Ok, Michael, you are stretching a bit here I think. I like a good conspiracy like the next fellow but I think if you pick any given month of any year you could find something that happened somewhere in the world that would be the "tipping point" for a particular subject.... or maybe I'm wrong and the end is neigh.... I think I'll not worry about it much and just continue on with life

I'm with Iggy here MAW ....
I'm certain those folks in Haiti thought the end of time came during the massive earthquake that leveled their country earthquake earlier in the year. I'm sure the thousands and thousands affected by the flooding in Pakistan this past summer thought it must have surely been the end of life as we know it.. And think of all the people affected by the oil leak in the Gulf whose livelihood depends on the health of the ecosystem..I'm sure they must believe this is the end as well.
On any given day, things that affect people on any level on a humanity basis believe their personal area of the world is coming to the end....I saw people that suffered traumatic brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, MS, Parkinson's etc. etc. and I'm sure every one of them are far more concerned with their own personal version of world at end/Hell (trying to relearn to walk, talk, dress, use the bathroom) right now than what is going on with Wiki leaks, H1N1 etc. I guess in the end it is all about perspective. :)
For me ....Life is too short as it is to worry about the what if's...I would rather just get out and enjoy it and live, love and laugh at life while I am able and have the health to do so!!! :)

Well some people collect stamps, others butterflies, pressed flowers what have you. My hobby is tracking news and events on the net in an effort to connect the dots. I stopped “Worrying” many years ago at least in terms of world events and how they may apply themselves to my lifestyle. If you have a few minutes, watch the guy in the link I’m providing below to get a feel for what it is I do in my spare time though clearly Mike takes it to a higher level than I do :)

More and more we see a revolution of sorts taking place online where ordinary and some not so ordinary people are trying to “shake it up” if you will. Obviously this would be a very long read if I got into the mechanics of that angle so suffice it to say that more and more people are waking up to the idea that something is not right with our earthly way of conducting our affairs. Wikileaks in my humble opinion will be seen as the spark that started the “Great fire” if you will. The loose association of hackers known as “Anonymous” who attack those who would seek to oppress Wikileaks are probably just the tip of the iceberg (I’ve gone a bit inside that world and believe me, these guys shoot to kill and take no hostages…I would not want to aggravate them). So for me this is a darned interesting ride but nothing that’s going to make me loose sleep, not because the information is null and void, far from it but as I said earlier, I worry very little about anything in life. This is not an event such as a flood or earthquake where one would clearly recognize that the calamity was a localized event applying to one directly and not affecting the rest of the world though I guess you could equate it to a global outbreak of H1N1 in terms of its potential reach. Of course the irony here is that the unfolding events are fueling the fire big time for those who seek to severely restrict the free flow of information on the internet and hopefully groups like “Anonymous” will take heed but from what I’m seeing from my tender footed trip through their domain this is not the case, rather, they see it as an all out war to wage until the system collapses. One cannot win a war if one is concerned with damage and destruction. Posting up huge lists of hacked personal credit card numbers of late clearly shows the ruthless nature of that beast not to mention the periodic attacks on Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Interpol along with Sara Palin and Lieberman’s sites. The pressure is high right now, higher than I’ve seen in my lifetime and IMHO, this latest series of events will be looked back upon in recorded history as the event that started a revolution.

Just for giggles, for those who have not see it, here is a youtube link to a video warning from Anonymous to the powers that be. A haunting view :)

Interesting. Don't get me wrong, I'm not "dissing you". I find that stuff interesting as well. Conspiracy theories, 9/11, Roswell, etc., etc. I kind of think a bit along the lines of Men In Black where they get the "real news" from the tabloids. I think there's a lot of truth buried in these things... just not sure that it's well understood what is truth and what is psychosis. ;)

Aaaw Iggy I new you weren't dissing me. I'm not so much into conspiracy theories as most of them are heads or tails without the facts and there's an awful lot of facts missing in most conspiracy arguments. I keep a watchful eye on 911 because I smell a rat in the official story. Without more sound evidence I have to conclude at this point that the US government knew the attacks were coming but did nothing to prevent them as in the case of pearl harbor. It got the support of the American public on board for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. While they were in the game, they saw how convenient it would be to tie tower 7 into the events of the day thus destroying some damaging info contained within. Google the list of building seven tenants:) With regards to Wikileaks, I find it interesting that the US government is targeting only Assange and leaving alone the "Gaurdian" and "New York Times" who placed the info in the public sphere. Anonymous is now set to attack British Gov websites if Assange is extradited to Sweden. I've spent days digging through every interview I can find on Mr. Assange and there's a fair bit out there. At the end of the day I can't find a flaw in his argument and applaud his efforts and those of his associates. The information they present has to be included in historical record if for no other reason than to improve our ability to learn from history. The US government in my opinion have long ago stopped serving the interests of their public. One clear example in my mind is a recent event where the state of California was to vote on decriminalizing pot. The Fed stepped up to the plate and stated clearly that they didn't give a hoot what the people of that state voted, they'd come in and bust users anyway if the bill passed. Where's the democracy in that! Again recently the tax bill for the wealthy was kept intact whilst the unemployment benefits for the poor were allowed to expire. When will the US government just come out and say they're just Fascists! The people of America and other countries pay taxes to their respective governments and the information Wikileaks is sharing is rightfully theirs!

Thanks Marko. I'm one of those people who doesn't listen to MSM without doing some digging into the background of the stories I find interesting. I can't just suck info out of CNN or Fox or what have you and accept it as the absolute truth because nine times out of ten the back story tells a different tale. What I find curious at the moment is the lull in the hackers activities, does this indicate that they are getting muzzled or are they very busy getting their ducks in a row. I'm suspecting the latter. If what I'm picking up is true regarding the US plans to extradite Assange to US soil on spying charges once Sweden has had their day, I'd bet "Anonymous" is going to deploy some fairly hefty weapons in response as they have threatened the UK with recently If they extradite Assange to Sweden. If you conduct some investigation into "Anonymous" you quickly discover they have no rules regarding warfare, rather a definite sense of the end justifying the means whatever the cost may be. It's going to get interesting IMHO.

Well at the end of the day… Whose fault is this eh! Certainly not mine! Assange failed me along with “Anonymous” . A very large inactive volcano is also to blame as well as an Asian trip by Obama that went off Like clockwork. It just goes to show you can’t trust anyone! The US economy is alive and ticking despite wild undertones of bad press from so called financial experts. If I didn’t know for sure that the end is near I’d be PO’d!
Julian is a free man once again but what happens next? Does he do the only decent thing a once captured animal does and root right in or is his fix on the game such as to make it predictable? What about Obama?...Busy man dealing with a thousand edits of future history coupled with a national sense of an upcoming election,if there’s no news headlines on Assange then there’s a thousand other pressing problems. After all there are the loud fools who want assange extradited to US soil on the charge of espionage.
My bad prediction I blame on Wikilaeks, “Annoumouse”, Obama, an Indonesian volcano and the special team that looks after the president.
EXPECT US!

keep looking Michael, the truth is out there :)

Just remember what T.S Eliot said:

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.
