This was taken at my favorite duck pond .... The horse came along and stole the scene .... I forgot all about the ducks :)

Spectacular! I love the darkness of the forest background...it really makes the light layers come through.

Wow, what a great shot with the colour and the unexpected visitor melding together. Most really good unstaged nature photos mean being in the right place at the right time. You surely tagged this one and did a nice job capturing it.

Very nice. Apart from what has been said I also like the juxtaposition of the warm light and the sprinkle of snow.

Bambi , this pond is on farmland . Across the water there is a huge pasture with horses and cattle . When we stopped the horses must have been in the trees , as they seemed to appear out of nowhere ... Three of them , two swam across the pond right away and this guy stopped for a bite to eat in the slush at the edge . Which was great , because it gave me a chance to manoeuvre around to deal with the tricky lighting .

Love the warmth of the colours in this photo, and yeah, i would have ignored the ducks also.
