Went down to a park in Mississauga by Lake Ontario which has a view of Toronto and got these pictures.

Cool set, asnow. I like the reflections on the buildings and the snowy rocks with the city in the background is just cool.

Thanks Iggy. I really liked the picture with the snowy rocks and the Toronto skyline in the background. I also thought it was cool when it was getting dark where I was in Mississauga but the sun was still shining on the Toronto skyline buildings. I just wish now that I had the forsight to get that picture from the same location as the snowy rocks one. (Locations were only about 2-3 minutes walk apart). It would have been a cool comparison with the more daytime one.

I like the weedy snowy bench with the Toronto skyline lit up the best. The frozen beach with the figures in the distance is also very cool!

Thanks JAS. I must have stood in that marsh freezing for about 30 minutes waiting for the sun to go down between the trees. If I hadn't waited that out I would have missed those other sunset shots. Glad I hung in there.

Toronto is a city that I often miss, Ten years of great memories so #3 works for me. I love the city skyline. Nice shots all round

I know you say it's OK to edit your shots. I thought the last shot was worth stuffing through the filter mill to see what it could give up but I just feel a need to ask...Mind if I post the result of that experiment? :)

I like that 3rd shot! The snowy rocks are a great foreground for the skyline.

Nice set. Likin' the third shot the best. Love the stark contrast between faded city skyline and detailed snow/rocks, with the dark blue waters dividing the two.

Michael ... no problem edit away. I'm always open to any suggestions that would inprove my pictures or photography.

Thanks MA, EdG and HBG. That third shot with the skyline and snow\rocks really caught my eye when I took it. It is definitely one of my favourites.

Thanks Asnow. I was bored last night and decided to play with one of your images. I thought perhaps I could pull some more from the image. I guess it stems from having more than once seen something glorious in a sunset scene, thinking I'd captured it and then once uploaded realizing my eyes had done a way better job than my sensor :) I threw a combination of filters at it to get it to where I thought my eyes may have seen it.

Thanks Michael for you efforts to improve on this picture. I was trying to show the snow covered marsh and I thought that the sunset through the trees would really add to this picture. I have admit that the sunset wasn't quite as brillant as I had hoped, however I still do like this picture. Mind you it probably won't go in my list of favourites. I think we've got as much as we can out of this one and I'll move on, take what I've learned and get a better one next time.
