Shy Butterfly Hiding

In my previous post (http://www.photography.ca/Forums/f11/crocodiles-up-close-personal-13500.html) I framed a crodocile in an unorthodox manner, well, at least the British thought so. It inspired me to post another unconventional framing, in this case of a butterfly where I chopped the head of. Does it work for you?

This composition 100% works for me! (though the image could be considerably sharper imo though)

What a cool take on what could have been "just another butterfly shot". I love it! It makes you really focus on the wing pattern which is awesome.

Thanks for the feedback, Iguanasan: that was exactly my thought, I've got plenty of "just another butterfly shot" so I was thinking how do I make it different.

Marko: agreed, sharpness could be a couple of notches tighter.

I think works because the head is well and truly not shown. It doesn't look cut off, it looks totally meant. The background bokeh also helps this greatly.
