Hey all,
This respectable gentleman was generous enough to let me take his picture today. As I am working on portraits these day, it was big opportunity for me.

As always, I awaiting your usual C&C in all respects including PP.
Cheers,

Excellent portraits, Yisehaq. They are all quite wonderful. My favourite here is number three as the composition, for me, is the best. Excellent exposure and a wonderful background. Nice selection of DOF that has everything in focus. Well done!

I agree this is a nice set! My fave here is shot 1, the light on the face is just lovely.
My only comment would be watch where you crop in camera and in PP. (Cropping through the ear is generally a no-no)
Hope that helps - Marko

I tend to agree with Marko. My perference is #1 for the same reason "the light on the face is just lovely"

I shot this in a workshop which had many distracting element in the background, which I tried hard to avoid. Unfortunately, I ended up cutting the ear.:wall-an::wall-an:

I'm another for shot 1 being cropped badly ... so I go for shot 2 instead. You've done extremely well though.

Just thinking back to the earlier shots you used to post ... what an improvement! Keep it up :)

Three nice portraits here.
I will go along with the others here as well. Too bad about the ear. Having said that is is a beautiful shot for me...shoulders turned slightly toward the camera and nice light. This sot cropped like the 4th one would have been great imo. In any case I'll take #2!!

Thanks aubintbay! I have learnt my lesson on the ears. I have to admit, I only concentrated on the eyes when it comes to portraits :wall-an:
