ok, only to me probably, but I've found a few more interesting ones. This first one was difficult to see and even more so to get to. Will have to remember to revisit when the snow melts a bit. It's fairly large and might have been more than a shed. Mysterious.

This other one is even more mysterious. It's tiny and oddly shaped and near to a colonial mill site that while not operational, still has art studios and other craft type businesses in the buildings. Maybe it had something to do with the mills once upon a time. You'd have to duck your head to get in the door. A kid's play house? Just to the left and behind is a tiny pond. I'll be glad when I don't have to climb on snowbanks to shoot these anymore, but in spring they get covered up and are hardly noticeable.

This last one is left over from the summer. I forgot about it. The door is big enough to walk through unless you're over 6' and there was running water laid on (in the turret part). Also there was a bed and an easy chair inside. The floor was all broken up though. I loved the whimsical architecture and wonder what it was...a real home? A rich kid's playhouse? Mother in law suite?

Any of them look like they would be a great spot to just enjoy the surrounding trees. Hope you can get to them during the summer.

Nice set. I like these old buildings found out in the bush like that. The 3rd looks really interesting. Did you find out what that neat little bit on the corner was?

Nice find. They definitely deserve a visit when the weather gets warmer.

thanks guys. stuff like this is not everyone's cup of tea. the little turret-y part is actually a water closet...sink and I think a toilet if I remember correctly. I love finding stuff like this, but this winter has so much snow that almost nothing is accessible unless you want to post-hole through it. off trail, a lot of areas are too deep even for my snowshoes.

I just love this environment. Could do with some snow about now. These 34c days (and working in a 40c shed) are getting a bit hot!

thanks. I'm sure you'll get your snow soon...you can have ours come to think of it.

Cool set! Mysterious as to what they are though. Used by hunters back in the day?

If we ever get snow in Brisbane then I know the weather has gone totally nutso!

goes to show what I know about Aussie weather. I thought pretty much all of it got some snow. New England can go either way...some years, hardly any and some years tons. This is a year for tons. And it's not even close to being over. Luckily April snow doesn't last although we can get a lot of it.

We often laugh/joke at the ignorance from Americans about anything beyond the Californian and New York coastlines ... and here you are adding to the (yes we know it's not really that bad ... I think) stereotype :)

You could count the locations that get snow in Aussie on your fingers without needing to take your socks off ;) I'd need to drive about 15 hours south to find snow in winter ... in summer ... there's nowhere.

yah well, there is so much between those coastlines that takes up our time. ;)
