Basic Refresher

Hi folks

I am having a hard time getting my images down to the required size to post on this site. I know there was a way to use a custom palate but I haven't used PS for years and the cob webs in my brain are too thick to see through. Can anyone pass along some pointers?

you can try downloading the free program irfanview.com it works great for simple resizing... :)

Do a "Save for Web".

In the dialog, you can specify the output filetype, the quality, color palette settings, desired image size and see exactly what the file size of the optimised image will be before you save it.
