Hello everyone! Thought I would introduce myself.
I am just starting out in the photography world.
I have always been interested in photography but have never had the chance to explore it. So now that I got my first DSLR I am having fun experimenting and learning! (yeah there is a lot to learn!)

So far I like to take pictures of scenery, flowers, etc I find shooting people a bit difficult!

Hope to get some good advice!!

Welcome Aboard :)

and I find that the key to getting good shots of people (not done standard portraits) but just better shots, is to invade their private space lol.. get real close. and take lots heh.

My family just ignore me getting in their face with a camera now, cause I do it so often lol. so get some really good shots of them being their selves, which is cool :)

Yeh, I'm still very self-conscious when taking shots of strangers, even in public places. To the extent that i don't really do it - for people shots, I tend to stick to people who've "agreed" (ie people I know).

Taken shots of other people without their knowledge just feels like I'm invading their privacy uninvited, it feels wrong to me...
