I like the 2nd shot as well ... the out of focus background really helps as does the B&W to reduce distraction from coloured background elements.

I agree about the 2nd shot. it has a real 3 d feel to it!

Thanks MA and Bambi for the comments. It was a great opportunity to experiment with B&W processing.
