This is an image of my friend Corey, one of three Canadians in the band, "The Rogues (http://www.therogues.com/fr_jackie.cfm)", who lives in Burlington, Ontario. Comments/critiques are welcome. I used SEPv2 and selected an Ilford 100 asa filter. (I loved Ilford!)

I really like this image, you seem to have pulled off a very impressive photograph. That is something you should print and frame it for him, I know when I shoot bands and if they are people I know in the band and if I get an amazingly good an unique shot I would try and get them a copy, something like that is a keep sake. I think it would probably look even better in print and on a matte paper.

I appreciate your assessment and want to let you know that this will be one of the images in an "keepsake" book I am making for the band to sell. As for printing this for him, it's a grand idea that I think I should also do for the rest of the members. If you go to the Band tab on their website, with the exception of Tyson and Doug, their "Bio" images are all ones that I took.

Regarding the image, there are slight points of light that you can see. Should I cover them up?

Me I would just leave it as is. It works why mess with it, I don't see them as distractions but as part of the photo so as I mentioned leave it. Great idea a book for them as a keepsake,very cool.

I agree with AL- this is a wonderful shot. I love the grittiness and the use of light and dark. Nominated! :1st:

I like this image as well! Interesting comp, dig the grain and I agree w/A.L. i'd leave the spots of light.
If it were mine, i might crop into the left side a bit, but aside from that personal preference, dig it!

I am humbled by your reactions. (Truly....) Hard to tell whether an image I like will evoke the same interest.

I really miss shooting film sometimes and giving an image "the treatment" for grain and a Red No. 25 just puts me into flashbacks.

I purposely left the amount of negative space so that when people buy the book (and I hope they do), it gives them someplace for Corey to personalize it without scribbling over the image. Not every picture I'll use will give me such latitude, I suspect, so do some when I can, eh.

It would be good as an 8X10, I see that, Marko, thanx!
