I was walking by Boulevard Lake one day and this is what I saw.

It's supposed to look like this.

Actually it's a man made lake that they drain every few years to clean up.

Very cool comparison shots XPWiz. Do they drain seasonally, as all of our s are drained for winter yearly.
Wondering, is part of that factory abandoned, as it looks like many windows missing on left buildings? If so, would be awesome to shoot.
Also, any pics of that interesting fish sculpture on left shore,? Looks very cool.

Thanks HBG. Boy you got good eyes. Here is a shot of the fish sculpture I grabbed this morning, still a little too much snow.

Those buildings are the tops of grain terminals.
Both the left and middle one are abandoned.

Thanks Marko.
I forgot to mention the last time they drained the lake was to inspect the dam, maybe every 10 to 15 years. So it doesn't happen very often.

Thanks for the close-ups XP. That is definitely an interesting fish sculpture with lots of potential for even closer shots of sections of it. Would love to get inside those grain terminals and surrounding area.

It certainly does look like an interesting place to go shooting and you've captures some cool scenes of it here. It would be quite amazing to see all of that water just gone!
