Awesome capture. Love the perspective. Don't get to see from behind very often, especially while shade fishing.

Shade fishing? You know more about these creatures than I. What do mean by shade fishing?

See the movement around the feet? Many times they will shuffle/stomp feet around to get "food" to move around. The wings overhead shade the water to reduce sun reflection, therefore easier to locate prey. Sometimes you can see them with their wings cupped together right up over their head.

Interesting. It makes a world of difference when you know what's going on. I've seen ducks sit up in the water and flap their wings. I assumed this was just something similar. Didn't realize it was a food gathering technique.
