View Full Version : Another Very Rare Beauty

These are Greater White-fronted Geese. They are a deep Arctic species, and I may never see them again. Many people have been trying to capture these and we were just at the right place at right time. Driving down road and saw them coming over us, stopped car, and I jumped out and took these, handheld, no time for tripod.

excellent set HBG, #2and #3 are just superb (clarity and composition)

you know HBG I picture you in the passenger side of the car scanning the skies for birds and the woods/fields for wildlife :)

wow, great job getting such superior shots in such a hurry. a testament to your skill. I've never heard of these geese before so it's a treat to see them.

Thanks to all for the wonderful compliments. I find myself very fortunate to have been able to see, let alone photograph, these rarities.

I'm struck by this thread and the thread with the blue birds: It seemed to me from what you reported as if it's possible that the birds seek you out, knowing you will do them justice... Wonderful shots for sure.

Thank you so much for the undeserved praise MBrager.:o I am just glad to be able to share some shots that some may not get the chance to see themselves, and hopefully most get the same enjoyment viewing them, as I do sharing them.
