Cranes In The Marsh

Here are a couple Sandhill Cranes in the marsh South from us.

gorgeous. what terrifically stealthy coloring they have. I don't think we get any cranes up this way, just herons and the occasional egret. I'm a sucky bird photographer though, so don't expect any pictures. ;)

These cranes are about the height of a Great Blue Heron, but the body is much bigger, especially with the "bustle" on the tail end.
