This is what I believe Marko calls mixed media. I was not happy with the drab grey sky so I used texture overlays to make it a little more interesting. I notice that the image looks darker on this post. Sigh.
Oh BTW..this was taken near Ucluelet on Vancouver Island.

Apart from the halo around the tree the texture has worked very well. You may have been able to add a little gaussian blur to the sky to make it just about totally realistic.

The line is SO grey with things things and it's getting greyer daily....
This is a lovely image and to me the amount of postprocessing here is subtle enough and doesn't call too much attention to itself.
What I'd call it doesn't even really matter as long as you are happy w/the result.

Thank you MA, Marko and Bambi. I value your opinion(s). I am just learning post processing plus playing with textures. I feel like I am at the base of Mount Everest on the learning curve so I appreciate your comments.

It is the mood out there, for sure. I really like the image, especially the way the light hits the rocks; makes them really pop. Just think, 2 more weeks ant I'll be out there filling my memory cards .... can't wait ....
