Another one from the Guangzhou Opera House. Wish the statue was a bit further left, and wish we could see her camera, but I only had a couple of seconds to grab this shot. That's life I guess :)

This is really quite neat and I like the moment you've captured. I wonder if you can give it more impact with a crop?

I guess I'll be different. While I like both of them, I think I prefer the original (uncropped) one a bit better. The cropped one looks a bit cramped to me. I like the expanse of the uncropped one.

easy to see why you took the photo ... great silhouette and shadows.

That's a very nice play of shadow and light - well done.

I have to disagree with Iggy. I like the angular lines in the image as it is. Adds drama to it, IMHO. Only thin I would have done is lower myself on one knee to get a bit of a different POV; would have added one more angle to the scene.

Thanks for the comments! I did fiddle around with a squarish crop for a while but found it hard to decide between the two. I did like it, but eventually settled on the wider aspect showing more of the diagonal lines. I also rather liked the white almost triangle of light on the ground.

Very nice Tim, and definitely like the original with the angles leading into the depth of the photo.

Very nice shot. I like the lines of the wide crop, and I have my doubts about whether the statue needs to be more left. The 3 figues are well-balanced just as it is. The toning is also well done.

I like this image - great dramatic light.
I like both crops, but i think I lean toward Iggy's
