Thought it was kinda cool, tell me what you think. :) sorry for the small image I found out in the uploading phase I don't have the full image on my computer

What made you go B&W on this? It totally works ... it's an excellent B&W shot in my view, so don't get me wrong. Just curious really as the colour of the flames would normally prevent most people from choosing B&W I would think.

I'm not a huge B&W fan but I like this shot. Has a bit of an X-Files feeling to it :)

This is it with colour, I think ultimately I liked the shadows on his jacket, and I thought the blue sky kinda took away from the flame colour.

It's good in colour too but well done on recognising the potential in the B&W option.

Cool photo! Gives "burning the midnight oil" a whole new meaning but why is he burning it?

haha, well, we went to my friend's parents house for dinner and had deep fried turkey, then afterwards all the oil was leftover, soooo...we burnt it :)

Yes the b&w adds that much more to it, very well done Skippy, I really like this one.

the difference in the two is wide and your call of monochrome was a good one.

It's a cool shot with a great mood. I think going mono was an inspired decision.

I have to agree with all of them; the B&W adds more character to this photo. I also like the mysterious feel that the mono added to the image.
