Hey guys,

The name's Nick, I'm a 19 year old car enthusiast from down under. I don't really have much experience with photography, I don't even own my own camera. I've been using my Mum and Dad's Canon EOS 450D and the 2 lenses that it came with, the 18 - 50 and the 55 - 250. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone and picking up tips where I can, and getting to know you all!

I was led here by my uncle, a moderator on here who some of you might know as Mad Aussie. He was telling me how friendly and helpful everyone is, and how much I can learn from everyone.

I came here mainly so I can better my skills in both photography and editing as well. Hopefully it will be more motivation for me to pay my parents off and save for my own DSLR, haha.

Anyway, that's basically me, so here's a couple of what I think are my better shots, unedited.

Welcome Cobby! We won't hold your relationships against you ;)

MA has been a lot of help to many of us on this forum and I'm glad you joined us. I look forward to seeing more of your work. I like what I see so far :)

Haha, sounds like he acts like himself on the forums then ;)

Yeah that was actually an accidental shot because I was getting progress snaps for a build thread on another forum (jdmstyletuning.com), and then it caught my eye so I chucked it onto manual, adjusted a few settings and then that was the result (not trying to sound cocky, I was more lucky than anything). As for the Cressida itself, I've actually got 2 as a result of putting one into a tree (biggest mistake/lesson/regret of my life so far) so I'm using the one I crashed for parts to fix the second one up, as it's pretty rough.

Nice intro pix! I suggest you hold onto that camera for a while and play.

Welcome again!

Yeah once I've payed my parents off, I'll be in the market for something of my own. I'll keep using the 450 in the mean time but I've been looking at the 500D with HD video, which is something else I wouldn't mind trying. I'm welcome to all suggestions though :D

Haha yep, trying...

Welcome to the forum, Cobby. I'm not sure I would have admitted to being related to MA but that's your choice

I shoot with the Canon 450D (Rebel XSi here in Canada) too and it's an excellent camera. You're off to a good start judging from the intro shots and you'll find there are quite a few people who can help you get better here on the forum. Mad Aussie is definitely one of them but, shhhh, don't tell him I said so ;) :headslap:
