With warmer weather the ice eventually melts on the reservoir. The last thin layer is greenish, very crystalline, with trails of liquid carved through it. By yesterday it was gone.

Love the first shot. That silver is just fabulous; and the reflection is very nice as well ...

Shot 1 for me please, lovely! - Tons of additional ways to play (if you like to play) via PP with a shot like that, tons - might even look great as a BW.

I really kinda like the way the reflections break up the ice. Interesting subject matter.

Thanks for the comments on the photo. At first I thought it was algae, and only after looking at it for a while did I realize it was ice. Then I realized it wasn't going to last, since it was a warm, sunny day, so I raced home, grabbed my camera bag, and went back. I actually took three bracketed shots and tried to process the shot as an HDR. But I liked this single shot the best because it showed the granular nature of the ice so well. I should carry my camera everywhere.

Really likin' shot #1 Mbrager. Love the textures and the mirror-like reflections of the sky in the water.

Love the texture and goldie colour of the ice in the first one
