Went to Vancouver Island last week. Visited an ancient forest slated for logging. The guide (a fighter for the forest environmentalist) led us to this place of 800 year old trees. Weather was typical "wet coast"; but the trees were magnificent. So here are my impressions of those trees ... of sorts.

and last but not least: the watchful guardian of the forest:

the first is the strongest, I think, and I like the 3rd as a square crop on the bottom.
good job stepping out of the box.

Thanks, WD. Yes, once in a while one has to step out of the box and try something one has not done before. Next on the list is trying to do zoom and movement simultaneously. Wonder how that will turn out. I purposely kept the images soft, to emphasize some sort of "painter's" treatment.
