Well, the hubby took a load up to new place and took along one of the cameras and got a few more shots.

Sunrise over the back hills and barn.

The suspension bridge above falls.

Nephew sitting at edge of one of the dozen or so waterfalls ten minutes from home.

Couple more of the local wildlife. They got to see Lynx, (in the back field), deer, bear, moose, and wolf, along with many avian species. This was a first for all for the nephew. He didn't want to come back home. i guess he will be visiting lots.

The ever-present Loon.

A nice size Black Bear they were feeding sausages. :headslap:

A young bull Moose.

Thanks everyone. Can't wait to get up there for good. At night it is so peaceful and the only noise is a very distant rumble of the 80 ft. waterfall out back, just down river from us.
Locals have told us of a good "Wolf" spot to catch them. Also, guy we bought off of has seen Lynx up there every tome he has gone up, and even watched one get a Snowshoe Hare right in front of him while he was out cruising our fields in the truck.
(As for the bear, don't worry WD, this is a "dump" bear and the boys stopped, got a few shots, and then threw sausage out window and left)
Only one thing though. If you look closely at view from Cheminis Mountain you will see the larger lakes are still white in background, which is actually ice. Yes, they are still totally frozen over. Here is a pic. of a smaller one almost thawed. These pics were taken May 8th.

HBG these are wonderful nature shots. Just love 'em. Can I ask the details on the loon shot? I tried to shoot a loon this weekend but he was just too far away to capture.

Sorry Iggy, I didn't shoot this, as I was still back down here while hubby got to go up.
He did say that loon was out approx. 80 yards, using a 500mm F4 Canon, bare with no TC. Sun was actually quite high, but directly behind them. Loon had no issues with them being there, just cruised along out in front of them.
