Out and about with one of the kids and we came across the old abandoned GE plant as we hiked along Toronto's railway lines looking for some places to see about getting in and exploring but it was locked up pretty tight and we ran out of time. We got there after about a 2 1/2 hour walk along the train tracks with my camera back pack fully loaded. It was sunny when we left the truck for our excursion but I expected some rain and was prepared as far as the camera equipment was concerned but we on the other hand were not. I looked up and made the comment looks like a tornado sky as I was saying it these two prongs started to go into a spin, we had nowhere to go or hide and the rain just started to come down and lightening lit up the skies, needless to say although my camera gear was perfectly dry we were floating in water up to our boots, the cloud spin went behind the building but I believe it petered out. We were lucky but it continued to rain for another 90 minutes in a torrential downpour. All I can say is man I am sooooooooo sore, first urban exploring since my mishap but what a blast. Anyway here are the prongs I got a shot of before it hid behind the building and the skies opened up.

Lovely shot, very moody and forlorn ... not a soul in sight, shows the real solitude of days gone by ...

Love those old buildings and captured well.

I assume this was in the Toronto area. Any idea where you were when you came across this old GE plant.

By the way glad to see you able to get out and get some pictures. Can't wait for more to come.

Yes it is almost right at the corner of Lansdowne Ave. and Davenport Rd. in the Junction area.

Mood in the sky works well with the subject matter, dig the framing as well!
