This shot was taken usisng a 5 second exposure. This was actually a constraint I gave myself when I went out shooting that night ...

Here is another one ...

Nicely done.

I remember us spending one christmas holiday with the kids at the Holiday Inn on Viger (right across from the Palais des Congres).
There were very few guests and they upgraded us to a lovely suite of rooms at no charge.

Is the restaurant Pere St. Vincent still in business in Old Montreal?

Thanks

I really had to wait for the «magic hour» when you can get enough of the ambiant light but not too much. Playing with the aperture and ISO sensivity can give you a certain margin to keep the exposure to 5 seconds ...

This was fun to do.

I did go for a walk after this in Old Montreal. Here are a few shots I took

I really like that second one (post #3). You seemed to have caught the perfect exposure, and love the reflection of the lights in the wet pavenemt.

Actually this is an HDR rendering from 5 different exposures. This is one of my first attempts at HDR and I am pretty exited about the possibilities ...

Thanks
