The water looks lovely! A beautiful place. Barrel distortion might be a bit noticeable in the first one.

Really need to visit this place this summer - isn't overly far from home-base Barrie.

Thanks everyone. These were taken near Cyprus lake not too far south of Tobermory. A few minutes walk from these pictures is the Grotto which is a gorge with a cave down by the water. A very wide angle lens is a must. I will post some of these if I ever figure out this HDR thing. I agree with the distortion in the first one. I will correct that if I ever upgrade to Lightroom 3.

wow, so blue. Glacial lake?

No it is not a glacial lake. It is just that the water is very cold. This is Georgian Bay off of Lake Huron. A couple of guys were dumb enough to dive in for a swim. You could have heard the screams for miles.

Kewl series! I miss that part of ontario. You captured the scenery dead on!

I wouldn't. I think it's great as is. The distortion gives a strong sense of distance to the horizon.

Beautiful scenes for sure Asnow, and so glad to see you made it to "The Grotto" area.

Thanks aubintbay and HBG. I'm glad I made it there as well. Here's a picture of the Grotto to prove I was there. It is first attempt at an HDR so excuse the photomatix watermark as I'm using a trial version.
