I decided to get a little more practice with backlit shots after seeing the great pic of the backlit leaf posted in another thread recently.
The first is plum blossoms after the petals have fallen off
The second is a red maple leaf
The last is is just a sun flare that I was actually trying to get on purpose!

Nice set. The leaves in the second one are very nice and the star burst on the last one is very cool. :thumbup:

Good play and good practice! The comp in shot 2 is by far the best of the 3 imo.
These shots are hard as brightness problems abound; but when the brightest element is the focal point and the overall comp is good....then this is a good general recipe for success.

Thanks Iggy and Marko! Number 2 is my fave as well.
I have revisited that plum tree in the first shot a couple of times but the stamen appear to be slightly transparent and keep grabbing the backlight and throwing at the camera it seems. Its a good thing for digital!!
