First time with Neopan 400CN 35mm B+W Film

I just got my first ever roll of B+W film developed and I am pretty pleased with the results. Any hints or suggestions for good b+w photography would be apreicated as is any and all critiques and advice. Thanks for looking.

Tone-wise these results look excellent on my monitor. A bit more selective dodging/burning might help but all the info looks like it was captured.

In general (very very general), IMO, I find BW best (talking non portrait) when the scene isn't too busy and has good shapes and forms to show off. Due to the lack of colour, these shapes and forms are accentuated.

Imo, these 3 shots are okay in BW but they aren't screaming that they "should" have been in BW.

Very helpful comments marko. as a point of interest this is the same spot shot last april in digital full coulor.

Thanks for posting it! I prefer this colour version as it shows the light better and the details in the bushes.
