That's exactly what I was thinking. The selective colour is a really cool choice for this image.

Wonderful shot, Mike! I love the composition and I love trains. I am not sure about the selective colour though. I wonder what it looks like in colour?

Thanks so much for the comments and compliments. I twirled this shot around for about a week before deciding that it had to be black and white with selective color. Color version has a lot of green, obviously and wasn't appealing to me. The rail cars are varying shades of metal, but the processing evens them all out. So the focus became the power of the engines coming at me pulling that load through the red cross and light. Here's a quickly processed color version, for JAS.

Yup dig the BW and selective colour here as well - it beats the colour version bigtime imo.
