Awesome detail on this image, Michael. Nicely captured. I just love the splash of colour on his/her forehead. :thumbup:

It was shot at the Riefel Migratory bird sanctuary so yes it was wild. The birds are free to come and go as they please. This Crane and its mate were raising a chick but I couldn't get any full shots because of the weeds. Mom here finally ended up in a spot and the wind parted the weeds and there you have it:)

Sometimes a gust of wind isn't your enemy :laughing: Thanks all, I was just happy to get a decent shot of a bird I'd never encountered before. The splash of colour Iggy....You betcha it's cool, I feel like I captured something exotic :laughing:
