I was wondering, when considering a picture to post in this forum, how old is too old for posting an image - or rather, how current should one be? Considering that some of us will, over time, acquire newer tools like LR3, Aperture, Nik software products, etc, any of us might look at an older image and think "wow, I can do this to it" and want to share with the community. (I have loads that I am looking at afresh with "new tool" eyes, that's why I'm asking this)

I understand the monthly "competitions" are very specific and pictures should be taken during that given month, that isn't an issue for me - I understand the need for "current-cy".

I say go ahead and post anything you like. Sometimes I like to pull from the archives so to speak.

I occasionally stumble across an older photo and post it so I see no reason why the age of the photo is relevant to anything but to the posts that specify otherwise.

Post whatever you want to post. There's no time stamp on life. If you want to share images you've taken long before joining then, by all means, feel free to share. I, personally, prefer to see current images in the monthly challenge.

As it should be...
