Got bored and decided to take a pic from the front porch of one of the flowers my wife has and play around with it.

Lovely light in those, I really like them. Wonder how they slipped by everyone unnoticed?

Really great colours - I love the pastell lily with this fine light.

Exactly, don't know how else to describe this. Beautiful capture and PP Lizarqing.

Both are lovely but that shot 1 is my fave here by far! care to explain the "play" here?

Thanks again.

Playing around for me is just finding something challenging and seeing what I can do with it. For the top flower, it was the only on that was blooming and the way it was pointing right at the porch made it hard to get a good angle. I wound up shooting it hand held through the railings of the stairs with a 70-200. In post I am still learning my way around light room and set out to darken the background and bring out the flower, which I managed to do with results I was happy with. Only thing is if I tried to do the exact same thing again, not sure I could remember everything I did!

These are both excellent, but the first one is truly remarkable. Love the glamour glow PP :)
