David Peat is an award-winning documentary film-maker from Scotland.
The 64-year-old had never enlarged any of the pictures beyond tiny contact sheets until two years ago, when he was diagnosed with Myeloma, an incurable cancer.

Not wanting to leave thousands of uncatalogued, unseen images lying in boxes he began going through the collection - starting with the photographs he had shot of children playing in the Gorbals in Glasgow in the 1960s.

Great photos, glad he is doing something with his photos. Considering how many photos many of us take I wonder if we will be leaving collections of uncatalogued photos? It seems it takes a major event for some photographers to sort and catalogue their photos.

These are fab! One of the things that makes a good portion of them fab is a strong story or the suggestion of a story.
Will share this. Thx!
