A Gift From Above

I got the chance to hit the playground ( aka: Chattahoochee National Forrest ) and went to three waterfalls that I wanted to really spend sometime with by myself for a change. Was an interesting day between getting the toe of my boot struck by a copperhead, had to hide under a little wooden bridge in a torrential sudden down pour so my gear would hopefully stay dry, just about did not get back out of a service road from the amount of water coming down the dirt road and such excitement. But I think I did get some good shots of some favorite spots after really taking my time in the manual settings and thinking through compositions more than normal since I had the time. After all that though the greatest capture of the day was while i was headed home and came around a curve in the road with an awesome sight suddenly appearing like it was a freebie handed down from God for all the challenges of the day. Of coarse I stopped and jumped out in the rain camera and all right in the middle of the road. But how could I resist.......

While not the technically best shot of the day, no doubt my favorite. :)
