Went by this one today since I was in the area. First time visit for me. Have to say it is the easiest to get to. Walk through an air conditioned building and then out back around a turn in the trail. It has a drop of 186 feet and as big as it is you would think it would be loud but it is actually pretty quite.

This couple walked into the water as I was on top of a rock and i thought it was a nice scene. Only manged to get this shot though since they got back out pretty quick.

This is the memorial in front of the falls for the 39 people lost in 1977 when the dam that was located above the falls broke after 5 days of continuous rain and swept them away in the middle of the night as they slept. It also caused millions of dollars in damages to the area and is still talked about today.

Very nice set Lizardqing. Will have to say, love the hue of colour behind the water curtain and overall lighting in shot #2, beautiful.

Thanks y'all!

Iggy, this one is actually a middle child around north GA. Our tallest one is Amicalola Falls at 729ft followed by Cascade Falls and Cochran Falls both at 600ft. Then there are several ranging from 300ft to 600ft. Personally though I am enjoying the smaller ones under 100ft as they offer so much more in the ways of photographing them. The big ones you basically are limited to one view from a observation deck most of the time. There are some I am planning on getting to though that have no trails and are from what I hear awesome. Hope to make it to one this weekend. Just nee to find someone a crazy as me to go since I won't go into the back country alone. That's what we tell the scouts so we have to follow the same principals after all.

Those are beautiful. My fav is #2. The purple colour and it has the feeling of being in a large cave.
